August 23, 2007 is a monumental day for Yolanda and Gabriel DeMello. This is the day that Josephine "Baby Joey" DeMello was born. She passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome on March 10, 2008. She truly changed and touched so many lives, healed many broken hearts, and united families and friends. Death of a loved one is always a cause for mourning. However, when a baby dies, there is a sadness that goes beyond normal grief. We are programmed to expect that the old outlive the young. When a person who has lived a full life passes away, there is a sense that everything is as it should be. When a baby passes, who has not even has the chance to experience life, their death seems meaningless. Baby Joey gave a sense of meaning by living through her parents. Please remember "Baby Joey" and say a prayer for the DeMello family on this day.

This will be a special ALL AGES dinner (optional) followed by a performance by the Romantics ("What I like about you", "Talking in your Sleep"). We will have a separate dining hall for our guests, and tickets purchased through the foundation will benefit Los Angeles and Ventura County SIDS programs.
The doors open at 5 PM with Dinner (not included in ticket price) served until 7:30. The Romantics will go on at 9 PM.
